weapon ranges: why can't I shoot as far as Farsight?

[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON May-04-01 AT 04:42PM (GMT)[p]I noticed that Farsight seems to be able to shoot farther than I can no matter how I build my character.

My main character has both Perception and Agility at 10, and his Small Weapons skill is exactly the same as Farsight's, and they have the same XP. I can give them the exact same weapon, and Farsight can fire it at an opponent from a much greater distance.

Anyone else noticed this? Is there something I should be doing to fix this?

[BTW, I'm playing in Tough Guy mode, with the latest patch.]
 
I think it's because of the traits she has (can't remember what she has really, though...)

I also notice she can shoot far better than almost everyone in the game. I think it's bug. But then again her name does suggest this was infact intentional?

She doesn't have anything special in her skill or traits or perks. she is just weird when it comes to guns
 
my character, boopsie, has 10 perception and sharpshooter perk but her small arms skill is less than farsight's and she easily outguns farsight from distance...which is to say, I guess, that I definitely do not have that problem.
