There seems to be some interest in this at least so I'll start working on it. Thanks guys.

Here goes...
I've been reading through the forums, old threads, current ones and there seems to be a general confusion and interest about the real weapons that some of the ones in Fallout and Fallout 2 are based on. My idea is to essentially use this thread as a reference for the other threads in the forums. It would start with Fo2 and be an alphabetical listing of all of the weapons. Not descriptions from in-game (well, maybe later on) but a paragraph or two about the real weapon and some specs on it.
The thread could also be used to answer questions regarding firearms so as to not derail other threads. If it sounds like a good idea, or something that might be marginally useful, I would edit this first post and start dumping in the information.
So what do you guys think? It wouldn't be a discussion thread necessarily, unless that's what you guys want, but for reference. Thanks for reading this idea and be courteous, use thermite. - Colt
