OpenOffice not only goes haywire frequently, it also completely screws up the size display and creation type for my documents, apart from destroying images and bookmarks.

Ive installed Open Office on several operating systems and not encountered this specific issue. Maybe its something specific to your installation or your computer.
what happens if you save a file as another format?
Additionally, does the same thing happen after trying the other suggestions mentioned? If so, that would be REALLY weird. There is always the Open Office forums

In this case, I would, because uninstalling and then reinstalling OpenOffice is going to take far less time than identifying the problem. Also, more than likely, the problem will go away after clean install.Mikael Grizzly said:
