Okay, I'm trying to play Fallout 2 on a win98 with a 32mb SDR radeon and a PII with 128 megs of ram and a DVD Drive + CD-R/RW drive. But that's all technical info.

Here's the annoying thing,

I can install Fallout 2 perfectly fine, I did a humongous install on my system and it went fine, but at the end of the install, the message at the end was messed up:

*blah blah* thank you for installing fallout 2 *blah blah*

"/n./n Now, grab a bucket of popcorn and enjoy a preview of a new interpla"

that's about as accurate as I can remember at the moment. Then when it finishes installing, the autorun comes up again, and the button to play Fallout 2 is greyed out, and the install one is active again. But my system shows that FO2 is installed...

So I start it up and it seems to run okay with one minor annoyance:

The screen fades(between screens) are EXTREMELY SLOW!

I have no idea why either...It used to run just fine on an ATI rage 128 with no problems...now the screen fades are beyond slow...please help!

Well after FO2 is installed I think, as I can recall, shows a movie clip of an interplay game.
But this shouldn't affect the installation, you can just close that movie clip (end task).

Did you reboot and see if it's better then ? If not I'd suggest upgrading your graphics card drivers..
