what FO3 MUST have

All I gotta say is ANY sequel to a sequel like Fallout2 has to have one thing to make it good:

MORE OF EVERYTHING. tons more guns, (and i mean TONS), a lot more items, a larger map, new locations, and plenty of them. i have to say this is the biggest thing i'll be looking forward to in fo3.

Oh yes, when i say more of everything, i mean MORE OF EVERYTHING, this includes death animations, NPC's, death animations, sound clips, death animations, and did i mention death animations? any agreers?

Yeah, well I think Fallout 3 should have LESS of everything (except cities, the current amount is OK). I'm tired of watching at 100 guns with only 5-6 of them being actually used because they are just plain BEST among their kind. Fallout 2 had more than enough weapons.

Amount of death animations? Hmm... I say remake those that exist before adding anything. And please, PLEASE remove that 'blown to bits by bullets' animation - it SUCKS and way below 'fun nonrealism' level.

I quite like that 'blown to bits by bullets' animation. Although I would like to see a 'head blown off animation' (for when you critical them in the head or eyes, instead of getting the 'blowing their arm off' animation.)

I agree. Even though FO2 was just FO1 with more quests (even the storyline was the same only you get a GECK instead of a water chip and destroy the Enclave instead of the Mutants). FO3 should have more improvements.

You could get away with having more guns by getting them in sequential order. EG. You start out with fists, then spears etc... then pistols, then maybe a Tommy Gun and the like, then the combat shotty, and so on... Although yes, 100 weapons that you never use because they suck is kind of dumb.

I would also like to see the various different weapons being carried by my character instead of just a pistol, shotgun or laser weapon.
 
why dont you go out and get an automatic weapon and kill homeless people. that could be some fun realism there.

2.There are fun realism (having weapons in the game that you could actually see in gun stores), funless realism (you die after being hit by two bullets), fun nonrealism (seeing these nifty muzzle flashes), and funless nonrealism (seeing thousands of experimental prototypes or rare weapons lying around like dirt).
