To get to what I really wanted to know:

What started or soon to be started RPGs are you interested in? How interested are you really in those games, maybe even give a 1-10 scale? What makes you interested in those games? The people behind it, the setting, previous games in the series, maybe jsut a good feeling?

Things like Trokias post-apoc game (which is a ways away prolly) would kind of be outside of what we are asking.

Things like:

SilverStyles The Fall, Akellas Metalheart, Trokias Vampire the Masquerade 2, Obsidians rumored KOTOR2, Biowares Jade Empire, a new squaresoft title, etc...

maybe even something like Freedom Force 2 ?

...Fallout 3?

OK, OK. Then if I can't have Fallout 3, The Fall seems to be the only really attention-grabber to me. I also am looking forward to picking up Time Crisis 3 for my PS2. I just love light-gun games.

I'll let you know if I get news of a Duck Hunt 2 (WhyTF havn't they made that?), but thats not what we are looking for

I'm interested in:

>Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines

>S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Oblivion Lost

>Fable

>Freedom Force 2

VtM:B, because i sort of enjoyed the first game, because i like FPSers, because i like FPSers which try to forward its own genre, and am confident that Troika will make a good game. And just want to play more Troika games, damnit.

STALKER, because the premise is interesting, and i'm specially looking towards NPC interactions, and AI routines.

Fable, because i'm just dying to laugh and point at people and say "I told you it was just hype!!"

FF2, because the first was great, and i can't get enough of bashing cartoon commies, 60's-style.

Right, so
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, cause I played the pnp RPG. Its a classic

KOTOR 2, because KOTOR was one of the most dominating games of all time. Right up there with Fallout

FF12, cause I love the Final Fantasy series, wait, actually, I only like FF7 and FF8, never played FF9 and hated FF10. But 12 looks really good

Matrix Online, just cause I'm curious to see how the can screw this world up even more. Matrix was good, reloaded: eh, animatrix was cool, revolutions = :puke:

Halo 2, Halo kicked a hellofalota ass. And Halo 2 looks like its gonna do the same. Ridiculous graphics, excellent gameplay. And the multiplay is real good.

Half Life 2
I don't even need to say anything about these two.
Doom 3

Unreal Tournament 2004 - vehicles? obscene graphics? duh...

i like shooters too, what can i say....

Doom 3 - more mindless killing of hells demons....but this time with pretty graphics!

Half-Life 2- I must admit, my anticipation for this game has died, but its still on the list

Fallout 3 - Hey, I can hope, right?

And, even though they are out already, im looking to pick up the following games ASAP:

Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time - Loved the originals, this one looks just as good

Armed And Dangerous - 2 words: Land Shark

Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time: it's supposed to be great, at least according to my very respected games-mag people.

Troika's Vampire: It's Troika. The guys behind Fallout! Hmm, I do still need to pick up TOEE, though. Hrmph.

Fable-There were some exclusive interviews in the games-mag I read, it's promising from what I saw and read there. Too bad I hate X-BOX and my PC still sucks.

Deus Ex 2: That's supposed to be good. We'll see. Probably too AI intensive for my PC, though.

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes: A remake of the best Metal Gear game ever-wahoo!

NOTHING of Bioware, I think they suck. Although according to most, KOTOR is good. Hrmph. Should try it. Bah.

Harvest Moon on GBA!

I would like Doom 3, but I'll be in PI by the time it comes out, if it comes out!

Mohrg

Well, for the immediate future:

Max Payne 2, as soon as it drops down to $30 or less. I played the demo and it's amazing how good that game looks and how great it runs. After playing it I just have comtempt for any game that looks half assed and taxes my video card.

KOTOR, when prices drop. It's gotten enough good reviews for me to give it a go - jeez, even Saint liked it!

Galactic Civilizations - After all the good reviews I've read here and elsewhere, the only thing stopping me from getting it is pure laziness.

Legend of Zelda: Windwalker. I love the zelda games, and this one seems to be as good or better than the rest of them. I might even pay the full $50 for it instead of waiting.

Deus Ex 2, if I can find it for $20 or less. It doesn't seem like it lives up to the original, but it seems like a pretty good time-killer. Not close to be worth $50 though, especially with a max of 5-10 hours of gameplay.

Upcoming games:

Vampire - The Masquerade, by Troika is the only game I'm really keeping an eye on. I know nothing about the Vampire PNP game, but what I've seen and read so far about the video game appeals to me. Plus, a few minor things aside, I love the two games Troika has put out so far and expect good things from any game they undertake. And yes, I would be interested in getting more info about this game.

\/ Yeah, that's why I won't pay full price - way too short from what I've read as well.

I'll be trying out MP2 some time this week. I have no expectations of the game. I liked the first, but the reports i've been getting the sequel is shorter than the first are dropping my expectations.

The Post-Apoc setting is just a part of it; It looks like a really cool RPG, and probably the closest thing we'll see to Fallout 3 in a long time.

I'd also like to get Police 911, that lightgun game that senses your movement so you have to take cover by moving your body. I figure with that new Eye-Toy thingy for PS2 they could probably make a game like that. That would be too awesome for words.

I think doom 3 is the only game I am watch right now that will be out in the next few months.

I am sort of following The Fall, though its just doing it for me so far, I hope I'm very very wrong.

in the 5 months plus range: Vampire Masquerade 2, the rumored brand new Zelda for GBA, KOTOR2, all I can think of right now,

Don't believe the hype, man! Fable is promising too many things that would be near impossible for it to deliver, and the team making it seems to be gradually realizing this as they slowly but surely cut out planned features. I'm not saying it'll be horrible - just be a little wary, and think about how much it's being hyped and what it can be reasonably expected to deliver. Honestly, I hope I'm wrong about it, but this game makes my spidey sense tingle.

I'll give the X-box credit for doing its best to get some good RPGs. I think Jade Empire might tbe interesting, in a console rpg kinda way. But after KOTOR, i'm interested to see how Bioware follows it up.

I'll just copy my buying list

PC

Rome: Total war
S.T.A.L.K.E.R Oblivion lost
Half life 2
Far Cry
Doom 3
Medal of honor: Pacific assault
Battlefield Vietnam
Lord of the Rings; Battle for Middle Earth

XBOX

Fable
Halo 2
Jade empire

You can probably throw out battlefield Vietnam and LOTR out of that, cuz I hate EA. But then again Pacific Assault might pwn, so I dunno yet. And Far cry? I've had a very bad xperience when it comes to german games. Seems more like a graphics show off more than anything else. But Rome and HL2 are definite buyers. So are Fable and Halo 2

Exactly, thats my biggest gripe with it. I appreciate that they're taking some RPG elements and throwing them into a new light, mainly, the physical/visual light, but will they ever help the game? I mean, its good to know i can let my beard grow and that i can gain some extra weight if i do nothing, and change hair styles. But will i be able to rob a city, then run away for two months, shave my beard and hair, go hungry so as to get thinner, change my name and return to the city to avoid people remembering me? I doubt this. Its fun to have things like weapons getting reknowned because i wear them, but i think peasants should be more concerned about their crops instead of being walking encyclopedias who know the name of my weapons.

This will probably end up like Morrowind, all hype, no substance.

Its sucks.

There is NO reason to buy that over Call of Duty.

Maybe he's got a thing for shooting asian people virtually? He did list Battlefield Vietnam as one of his games...

I have yet to play Call of Duty but I remembered how blown away I was playing Allied Assault for the first time, it was like playing in a WW2 movie, in fact, just thinking about it makes me want to reinstall it, if I didn't fucking lose the CD Key.
