What is the deal with Sasha the dog?

Is there any way to interact with this dog? It's just sitting outside the Cathedral once you're inside. I'm pretty sure there's nothing you can do.. just thought I'd ask.

Nope, there's nothing you can do. They put it in there because one of the designers had a dog called Sasha, if I recall correctly..
