I was just wondering what this board is about, what are we supposed to post messages about ?????

Well basicly it's like roleplay but with no rules. You just write about your character and what they do while being with a group of other characters

If you don't know waht the above means, basicly you take the role of a character from the fallout universe and write about what he does. You have to join or make your own thread then interact with other characters.

There is to be no killing of any other character played by a real person and try to keep your character not too high-tech.

Just read the the battle and then make a character and then join if you're intrested

Actually, The Battle's a bit much to take on for a beginner (no offense, I hope...)

Try reading a roleplaying thread with not a whole lot of posts, definitely not more than thirty.

It's basically like writing a story, but everyone participates. The person that started the topic usually has final say on what goes on, but aside from that, you just make up a character to represent you in the FO universe and write about their escapades with other role players. I recently wrote a post asking about some of the basics, check it out. It helped me quite a bit.

But it is hard to make a new character and a thread! The only one I've started is at the Active Roleplaying boards, starring Kakui Chan, a Shi Detective sent on a mission in NCR. I'll try to think of one, but it's kind of difficult to think of the perfect long term combat scenario.

Im new hear also and I want to get involved with the rpg bored. Do I just make up a character and introduce myself into a story post? or does this relate to the fallout pen and paper game? thanks for any answers

Some advice

I think I'm one of the first people to post on the RP board, check out some of the earlier posts if ya want to see how it's done. ;) I know I'm currently the longest running poster on this board, cept for the mods. Too bad Aerakade don't post on this board no more, me n him had fun. Too many people stopped. I did for a while, mainly cuz I accidently blew my comp's motherboard to smithereens. Fried out, somehow. Heh.

Heres my character:
Greven
Human
Age-29
Armor: Custom made titanium body armor
Weapon: Extended clip M60, or my Texas-issued Laser Rifle
Vehicle: A prewar APC, or a military hummer
Job : Officer in the New Texas Military
