what is your favroite fallout

Fallout 2 is the best, the stuff on ps2 is pure crap. And tactics was just annoying. Fallout 1, well its always going to be good, since you cant beat the original, since it started the concept.
 
Fallout 1 had, by far, the best story of all the games, and the best atmosphere. I'm not sure whether 1 or 2 was more fun though, since I liked New Reno so much (however out of place it was).

I liked Tactics purely for the combat system and some things that it fixed, but Fallout: PoS was pretty bad.
 
Fallout 2 is I think may favo. It's bigger than Fallout 1, with new items and such. But I don't really think of the two as separate games... just like with the LotR books...

I also liked Fallout: Tactics, but I don't really consider that a Fallout game... more like a really cool tactical game with a little bit of role-playing stuff, based on Fallout.

Never played Brotherhood of Shit, but I saw something of it on TV and I thought it sucked... it was like... Fallout, only without the Fallout and gameplay and other things that make games cool, and then based on Fallout... to put it in the words of a 1337-ist: That game sux0rz the big one!!!1two!
 
i liked fallout 1,2 and tactics all the same i played tactics in turned based too tactics wasnt quite as good in my opipion though but it was a fun game.

fallout 1 had more of a wastland atmosphere to it was a bit more harsh i found like the towns junktown and the la boneyard .

also most have noticed fallout 1 and 2 both have 2 major quests ex water chip and mutants and geck and the enclave well is it just me or is finding the water chip harder then finding the geck i found the mutants were easier to kill then finding a water chip heck i looked in the military base for the water chip.

please note this is the FIRST time through either games plus i never use guides my first time through
 
Fallout 1.Allthough Fallout 2 had more stuff and places it seemed to miss something..I think it was the thing that Fallout 1 places where more rough or something in that way.
 
Fallout 1 for the depth of the RPG, the story, the world, the art...

Fallout 2 for improved playability, little more obvious stuff to do, more weapons, armors, playing conviences...

If only the same exact people made fallout 2 as the people who made fallout 1... Fallout 2 would have been extra sweet
 
Mmmm, agreed. Fallout had the better story, better world. Fallout 2 was more fun.

I don't know what it was but Fallout 2 just seems more entertaining. Never played tactics or ps2 stuff.
 
Fallout1, Fo2 was excellent, but didn't follow the atmosphere good enough...

Spot on.

Fallout had the right feel to it...but Fallout 2 was longer and more complex.

Fallout 2 was bigger and... well just bigger. Not at all complex, if anything it was simpler.

Fallout is the definative Fallout :) comparing Fallout 2 to Fallout is like comparing hamburger to fillet steak. Comparing FOT to Fallout is like comparing dog food to Fillet Steak, and I won't go into FOPOS.
 
I believe FO2 was better since you could do more and weren't obligated to do anything really. In FO, you were timed for the first 150 days and that made it a bit linear to me. And the people were too happy it seemed. FO2 gave it a "Life sucks but we gotta go on. Dammit." whereas I felt FO was more like, "Well, wehad the shit nuked out of us but at least we have our health for the most part!"
FO2 did have a more "Hope in teh wasteland" feeling to it, too, however.
 
I'd have to agree with the general populous here; Fallout 1 had many things spot-on, Fallout 2 fell a little from that but was a better technical game. I never played Tactics extensively so I can say I like the extra stuff they fixed, but it seemed to swerve farther from the original than did Fallout 2, thus weakening the connection, but perhaps still able to bear the name. Fallout: BoS.. I've never played it, but from what I understand whatever value it may have as an excercise in video gaming (and as I understand on those grounds it's at least decent) is overshadowed by its completely inappropriate and to some downright offensive misuse of the Fallout franchise. Kind of like the Cadillac Cimarron. No matter what they did to it, the couldn't hide the fact that it was a dressed up Chevy Cavalier.

I disagree. While I think I'm, currently, siding with Fallout as the better game, many of the subplots in FO2 were significantly deeper and more complex. Whether that is necessarily a good thing on the other hand...

I enjoyed the comments your party would make in FO2, Ian had some in Fallout, but there were a lot more in the sequel and they added a nice touch of flavor.
 
Fallout 2 is my favorite Fallout. It's bigger than FO1, more guns than FO1, there's a car in FO2 and Power Amror it's cool.
 
Fallout 2 is my favourite Fallout, basically since it's the one I played first. Had I played Fallout 1 first, I am quite sure that I would have liked that better due to the squirt factor of the new concept and all that, but as it were, I didn't. So, comparing the feeling I had when playing Fallout 2 and the feeling I had when playing Fallout 1, FO2 wins by far. Consider if Fallout 2 would have been Fallout 1, and Fallout 1 the sequel, as it pretty much was for me - FO1 mostly seemed like a downgrade overall, even though I also enjoyed that one very much.

my rfavorite fallout title definatly is, was and will be fallout 2.
i was very dissapointed by fallout tactics.

but hey i read so much about mods maybe fallout1 mod or fallout tactics mod makes the game more fun.


however i am playing now THE FALL now and i love it, its my new favorite because its a hybrid between fallout2, gothic and jagged alliance. i love the jagged alliance like fights and the gothic like graphics. however its not yet released in english, just in some european languages, but will release soon in english too.
just wish i would have more time to enjoy the game , its long and great but my reallife doesnt allow anymore playing atm hehe :)
