What mod should I play?

Hello guys on this forum,

I just registered here to see how many people is out there and was sure some of you could answer my question within few hours. I have some work free days and I am gonna be relaxing my a*s for the next five days. I downloaded Fallout 2 after few years (overall played the game so many times the last 10 or something years) and I just want to spend the next five days playing this awesome game again.

Basically Im kind of lost in the amount of the mods and I would like to get recommended some mod that is large with some big changes, I would like to have normal story line (so no Wasteland as far I understand) and propably even a walkthrough available for the mod ( can play without it tho).

So, could you fellows give me and tip what mod should I play? which one is your favorite, etc.?

I'm sorry if there is already a thread like that, i'm going to rest a bit to the bed for now and then start playing in the evening.

You should definitely try the Restoration Project (RP) for Fallout 2. It adds all of the content that was originally intended for Fallout 2, but had to be cut due to time constraints. It also fixes over a 1000 bugs that were present in the vanilla release of Fallout 2.

In order to download the mod, find any post by a guy called Killap and follow the links in his signature to install the mod.

When you have the RP installed, you don't need any other mods to make it work - it's bundled with anything you might need. And it's certainly enough entertainment for 5 days :)

Here is a walkthrough for the RP, I'm not sure whether it's the most up to date, but I have reasons to believe it is.
