What MP3 Player Do You Use?

It Wandered In From the Wastes
Pretty self-explanitory question. FYI, I have an iPod. It's a slightly old 2nd-gen model, a 15 GB model in particular, with a leather case and the Belkin voice recorder which were both purchased recently. I have about 600 songs on it.

So, what do you have?

Winamp 2.9. I'd get an Ipod but I can't stand listening to music when I'm walking around, it's too disorienting. No need to get a stand-alone player if you're only going to be listening to music at home.

I bought the Creative Nomad Jukebox 3. It was one of the first mp3 players that featured a big hard drive (6 giga), and not flash memory cards of 64/128 megas. The problem is that this thing lacks in battery power, which means you can't really walk with it. Ideal if you're in a hotel room or somewhere with electricty though.

Now, a few months ago I bought a Mini Disc player... And it's a great buy. It's small and easy to carry, each disc hold up to 360 mins of playback time. Battery lasts good as well.

I have a digitalway MPIO 128 Mb player. It's about as big as my thumb, perfect for jogging (in summer)

I just use my sony cd walkman thing. It plays mp3 cds, regular albums, and has a radio. It was less than a hundred dollars. 700 mbs worth of mp3s for less than a hundred it pretty good. And it never, ever, skips. Ever.

I've got a RIO something-er-other mp3 player. I'm saving up some cash for one of the new IPods. Those things kick ass.

I still prefer CDs, though.

Why oh why do you people use the bloatware that is Winamp 5? Do you actually use Winamp for anything else than Mp3 and the occassional web-radio listening? Just curios...

Suffice to say, I use Winamp 2.91

BWaha! I use MyAmp, which is my self-made WinAmp to get rid of that terrible bloat, and because Winamp's shuffle was getting on my nerves.

I do want to buy a stand-alone MP3 player sometime though. Preferably one with built-in memory. Sadly, all I seem to be able to find is stuff with memory sticks and a whole of 128 megs. Woohoo! Not nearly enough....

I've got an Archos Jukebox Recorder 15Gb. A little on the hefty side but the thing is so damned useful for transferring huge files between machines. I actually use it more for data transfer than actually listening to music. It also comes in handy when recording stuff live but has a little bit of an RF interference problem when doing that. When it dies I will probably replace it with a multimedia version.

Edit: This thread is about hardware not software, eh?
