First time out of the vault
Im resenly started to play FALLOUT 2 and when i came to the Den there are no childrens (i had another FO2 cd but its broken so i buyed this new one) then i download the childrens phats and extract it but it dont works :x

And also in the Den they are some old man that look like Fred, and they begin to run when i come close to them and i remeber that one of them say (you killed my son) i just wondering, WHAT A FUCK, its with this game :evil:

No NO NO!! It's all you. It's that little fucked up bathroom you've been locked in for the past 5 years. MENTAL DEFACATION is a problem here. You've suffered from some VERY BAD mental disease.

Please, if you want to be a jackass, at least present yourself in a way that not only makes you look like shitstain, but insults all jackasses.
 
You probably have the equivalent of the UK patch (or it literellarely).

As for killing people, it's because the guy think's you're actually an enclave trooper and that you indeed killed is sun as someone with the same armour must have... I found it interesting...
 
I don't think the people in the Den are attacking you for a reason. I had this happen to me early on in the game and I did not have any power armor on.

The attacks are random by random people. You'll have to notice that most of these folks have Jet. That's about all they have, really. They sometimes scream "You killed my son!" or "Aiiie!" and combat mode is activated. I always thought these attacks were merely drug-induced delusions. You can run away from them and then exit combat mode if you don't want to kill them.

One thing off subject: Devil, what country are you from? If I had reference, than I'd be more understanding about your grammar. Because English is definitely not your first language, right? Please tell me this is true.
 
According to another thread, which escapes my memory right now, Devil's native language is Swedish. So I'm guessing his native land is also Sweden. He must be really sweet and sweat a lot... How are those saunas, eh? I learned the real pronounciation is not sauna but rather sawna. Am I correct?
 
I had a "lether armmor" when they ran away. But the childrens why are they gone when i done the extract correct?

Sauna is a word from Finland, (Finnish) "bastu" is the correct Swedish word, and they are inded nice and HOT
 
You can even read in the walktrough that for example in Reno you miss a quest because of the no-children version.
Probably had something to do with the English not wanting to shoot running children. Then I ask you: why? It's just those small things that make life a little more fun..

And Devil, what's you're age? You must indeed be very young not yet having had any English class or old as a Viking..my Swedish is even better than your English :wink:
 
Actually the missing quest (or rather, the bad ending situation) evolving from the missing children is in Modoc, not in New Reno.

At worst in New Reno you lose one of the ways to find your car back (talking to Cody), and also stuff associated with him (perhaps Jules might have killed him - that sure is a otion in the dialogue...)
 
You're right, I ment the playing children with the stones-game. Saw no kids but I did see text lines. I have been searching there for an underground cave for a while..

Okay Devil, this is the deal!

What I think is wrong is that you havent even installed the 1.02 patch before you installed the children patch!

I had the same problem with people attacking me in the den & also the stupid ghoul outside the reactor in gecko.

All without any aparent reason what so ever. Just install the appropriate patch after finding out which fallout version you have.

PS. Please stop talking in this forum, your giving the rest of us swedes a VERY bad name! :wink: mohaha
 
Devil was banned from these boards. He is actually one persona of the nefarious Nuclear Wolf/nWo/Devil/Nuclear Devil fiaso. Please refer to the Vats for further information on this dude. I suspect that he's never even been near Sweden. And I don't blame him! :P

some jackass (most likely Miro, Odin or Rosh :P ) wrote scripts that replace l33t words (such as c u z, p l i z, u r etc.) with proper English. wrong! they don't replace them with proper English, but with jokes that make fun of the idiot who thinks he can write l33t on NMA board.
