the #1 thing i would like to see would be an on-line version...ala everquest and the like. to me, the idea of being able to recruit an army and TAKE OVER a place like New Reno is so cool i can't even describe it!!! but that's not all you would have to do, from there you would have to be able to defend it....ohhhhhhhh, gives me wood just thinking about it!!!lol. i haven't played everquest because i don't want to pay every month, but i would for the fallout world, what are your opinions?

hahahahahahahahahahaahahahhahhahaha!!!!!!!!!! :P (I'm not laughing to you :-))

Ahem.....

And about that idea, check out the FOOL (FallOut OnLine) discussions in the archives of this board and you might draw the conclusion that you might consider it dangerous posting an idea like that here.

There was a lot of discussion about FallOut OnLine (or FOOL), I can say you that 90% of the people doesn't support the idea (me included), but I don't really want to start again this topic, although I never was part of the discussion.

If you want more information about this matter, I should suggest you, like Ceasar said, to check the old archives of the board.

RE: Ahem.....

fallout bos - no
fallout 3 - if it's an rpg
fallout online - yes, but not if it takes away fallout 3

I have to disagree here. FOOL would be a lot worse than Fallout tactics.

[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON May-18-00 AT 03:33AM (GMT)[p]sorry, new to forum, had no idea that there were postings, so disregard everything about what i said EXCEPT what would you like to see in Fallout3.

i'm sorry, i'm sorry, i'm sorry, i'm sorry, i'm sorry...

but as far as the FOOL issue is concerned, no matter what system they use it will not please everyone,FACT. How will the various "issues" be resolved in the engine? i don't know, nor do i care, it's not my job to build the game, i am not a programmer or designer, i am a consumer in this respect and i am just telling the companies what i want. the flaming and bitterness this subject has caused is amazing, i think everyone had valid points(looked through the archives, thank you for the suggestion), but as for the Fallout3 RPG i am curious as to what items, situations, perks,.... just general gameplay features ppl would like to see in it, sorry for the first posting, now let's move on.

RE: Ahem.....

I don't know if you were referring to me about the flaming, but it wasn't intended that way.

If it has come over to you as flaming, excuzez moi (I'm not French, by the way)

What I would like to see in Fallout 3...

I didn't think up this idea, but I've seen others post it, and it seems to be one of the more appealing ideas I've read.

A living world. Where people have agendas, do certain things at different times of the day, where the world is constantly changing. Maybe raiders will attack town a the first time you play, and maybe they'll attack town b the second time. It seems to me it would take a fair amount of time, but it would greatly add to the game play. Maybe Farmer Joe gets drunk one the night the Raiders attack and he ends up dead. On the other hand, he could've been sleeping in his bed and didn't go out that night.

BTW: Wouldn't this subject have fit better under FO3 (well, so long as your forgot about that whole online speel).

RE: What I would like to see in Fallout 3...

A slightly more 'linear' game. In Fallout 2 it was too easy (if you didn't read a hint book), to miss stories and situations. So make it that you will have less of a chance to miss characters or stories. It's not the kind of game (Single player mode) that I wish to play twice, once is enough, like reading a book.

RE: What I would like to see in Fallout 3...

i meant no-one in particular on the flaming subject, just a comment about the bitterness this subject has caused.:-) Fallout2 not being as linear as the other games on the market is so much of it's appeal to me, and why i continue to play it 1 1/2 years after i bought it, i keep finding new items and ppl to talk to and different ways to resolve situations....both good and not so good!!! i personally would like to see more sub-plots and characters. i would also like to enter combat inside my car(which i think there sould be more vehicles) and be able to just run their little asses over!!! and then have to repair the damage to the car!!

again my flaming comment was just that, a comment, of course when someone sees a trend towards something that they see as detrimental to a game they enjoy and don't want to see a "black mark" next to it they will get upset, but looking over the FOOL archives i saw very few constructive comments and a lot of all-out assaults on ppl, let's keep these forums constructive, as they are a perfect way to let the designers know what we, the consumers, would really like to see
