Where are all the Fonline SDK Tutorials?

First time out of the vault
I can't seem to find any tutorials on how to basically mod FOnline engine. I'm at first interested in converting some FO2 quests to the FOnline engine and if all goes well, more FO2 quests will be converted.

But how do I even get started?

If you are Russian, you can find a lot of help on fonline.ru forums.

I do not know of any good help source in English. The biggest I know is quite small, on 2238 forum. http://fonline2238.net/forum/index.php/topic,8776.0.html

You can try IRC channel #fodev on irc;Forestnet.org, it's both English and Russian.

I'd also try general AngelScript help forums, but I'm not quite sure it would help a lot.
 
Shame, really someone should make tutorials for using the SDK effectively. Otherwise it's quite pointless.
 
There's great mapper tutorial on polish forum (I will give you a link so you can google translate it). Not now because I must back to home. There are many tutorials but rus but you can use translator.
Recreating quests you need dialog editor and some knowledge scripting (rewards, globals etc). Of course you can visit irc channel, you should try.

If you want to know which version of sdk is stable check www.fonline.ru and topic about it.

Good to see new one who will try recreate Fallout 2 quests. Hope you do that, try recreating Arroyo quests first.
 
I'm not promising anything but I'l give it some effort.

In the meanwhile, I've translated all of the text files in server folder to English. But still the dialogue for example in Klamath is in Russian. Where are the dialogues for the quests?
I'll release the full english versions of the text files here just as I've got the quests fixed.

Everything else seems to be fine, but the quest dialogue is still in russian.

Edit: I think I found them. Gonna take some time to translate them now.
Is there a list somewhere that shows which quests are untranslated as of yet?
 
Okay, Klamath is okayish right now. What I'm doing is running the dialogues through a translator program and then fixing some of the lines manually, cause all the translating programs are too stupid to keep the formatting together.

If you guys could help me by pointing out what cities especially and what persons in towns are still in russian. There are 855 dialogue files so I'm not gonna go through all of them. Gonna translate San Fransisco files next.
 
Wow, tactics is great server. I teally like you make worldmap with fallout1&2 locations and very nice gameplay system. Hope you improve and fixes server, good luck! :)
 
Damn, the translators really screwed up the format worse than I thought. For example, they cut all the @pname@ to @ pname @ and also everything like @@ to @ @ . Which messes with the scripts. This was with ace translator and google translate.

Now the other programs I've tried to use that actually keep the format intact have a silly word limit to them. I can only translate like 2000 letters which is like 1/20th of any text file.

This is retarded.
 
You can use a replace function to add the extra spaces, I recommend you use Notepad2. But one wrong space and the text file / script will be screwed.
