Since we probably have to wait quite awhile before knowing what will happen to our beloved Fallout series, I thought I would be nice for us to look elsewhere for promising titles. I've reported earlier about Metalheart, the Fall and also Stalker, but many of you probably loved the X-Com series as much as I did so here are some new X-Com-ish projects in the works:<blockquote></blockquote>I suggest you guys also check out those projects, which has stirred alot of interest for me..
 
Ufo - Extraterrestials looks very nice, but I'm not sure what it will be. Is it a commercial game ? Community game ?

Ufo 2007: I don't get it. Both because the site's language, and the confusing graphics. Are these simple renders ? Or actual ingame engine shots ?
 
Most of the pics on 2007's site look like concept art and renders.. but I think I saw an in game pic when I scrolled down. All in all.. They'll never suit my jaded needs that Fo provided :x

It's only preliminary technological 3D-renders!! All graphics at our site is concept art and 3D-renders.

Work above the graphic engine will be begun in the beginning of 2005 year.

And...

English version of our site already exists, but now we check the translated texts.

I've wondered why all prominent modders seem to be Russian or Polish. That you're crazy isn't the worst explanation I could think of.
 
Crazy also means resourceful.

Vodka's repulsive, but it has its way with getting innovative ideas ;D
 
Guys, if you liked X-Com, you HAVE to pick up Silent Storm.

It is EXACTLY X-Com, but updated for 2004 with incredibly better graphics, and a story / setting in WWII. A good character development system as well. Not a perfect game, but very, very, good, and much better than anything else out there that comes close to X-Com.
