Instead, why not try a reputable image converter like IrfanView. I'm not sure where you can download it, 'cause I got it from a friend, but there are tons of programs like it.

Oh, while we're at it, what's you're opinion of this for a sig:

It`s everywhere, try shareware.com or something, i also use it and it´s great
