Why does everyone hate Lynette?

I mean, sure, she's a bigoted, jingoistic bitch, but that's all she needs to be.

Her first and foremost responsibility would be to the citizens of Vault City. Improving the lives, or even simply not wrecking/ending the lives, of non-Citizens is a small bonus. She has no responsibility to anyone who doesn't hold VC citizenship.

Personally, if this was all real (it's only a game, although compared to the time I spend on other things, my real life takes a back seat), I wouldn't agree with her, but I could imagine agreeing with her if I was a VC citizen.
 
Yes, although I think that Lynette should definitely be a tad more open-minded, you have to remember that she herself was (most likely) a descendant from the original vault dwellers in Vault 8. Remember the mentality of all the dwellers in Vault 13 back in FO1? It wasn't just the overseer, but everyone living in the vault! Lynette made a terrific first citizen, always thinking about the well-being of her people. It's simply her generations of being practically xenophobic that clouded her decision-making skills. But, I have to admit, I would be very afraid if it weren't for McLure, heh-heh.
 
Actually I think McClure is worse than Lynnette. Lynette might be closed minded psycho bitch, but this whole Holier-than-Thou, approach makes her seem like a Nazi-wanna-be. That or she's got the Female cramps really bad, all the time. McClure is worse because he's the technocrat that makes it all happen. Lynetter might be the figure head by McClure is the boss. Don't forget he's the one who really puts the screwing to Gecko.
 
Really? I didn't know that... I was under the impression that Lynette wanted the Gecko Poseidon 5 destroyed, but McLure either had Vault City's future in mind (power for expansion), he'd rather not want to worry about a defunct nuclear power plant (just as bad as a running one, but nobody there to fix it if something goes awry), and/or he doesn't feel the need to "shoot the cow if you step in shit." Anyway, I'm surprised with all of VC's medical technology, they'd really be as affected by the rads as she would lead the PC to believe.
 
Lynette is definetly the mother bitch of all bitches, but she fits the roll of the 1st citezen prefectly. She looks after the well being of her own people.
I dont think she should be against mutants thow, after all they are simply radiated humans.
I for one definetly enjoyed doing the evil game and planting explosifs on her when she started to be a bitch.
Man...the satisfaction of watching her blow...*sigh*
 
Sweet, I gave her an Overdose of superstims, and then I got McClure too.

McClure is the one you tell that the nuclear plant has been optimized. If you go back and tell Harold he throws a shit fit because Harold knows that this means the VC assholes are going to invade. McClure is going to send in the VC troops to take the plant and enslave the ghouls, thus the GECKO bad endings. McClure is a bureaucratic prick.

And Lynette is totally not as hot as Tandi. Still....she's kind of got a black sinead O'conner thing going.
