An exact quote from my strategy guide....

"Why play Fallout? What makes it such a good game? Maybe it's easy gameplay. You have a third person view and all of the blocks are on simple hexagons. Maybe it's the wonderful turn-based-yet-action-packed combat system. Maybe it's the replayability of the game that allows you to choose different traits, character stats, and skills. Maybe it's the fact that it contains a great storyline along with hundreds of subquests. It takes only one, maybe two, of these reasons to winner a gamer's attention. Fallout has it all.

If you've played Fallout, and thought it was good, you'll love Fallout 2 even better. It has better party member control, more realistic features, tougher traders, more challenging, bigger, neater interface, and it takes place 80 years later, where you will get to meet many people that your ancestor, the vault dweller from Fallout (1), has met before. It's so fun talking to Harold and Tandi again, as well as hearing stories from Marcus and Lenny.

So if you don't own Fallout 2, get it right now. It has the RPG'ness of Baldur's Gate, the fun action of Diablo (only a little more senseful than that), and the... the... fun of Half-Life! Did you know that Diablo won RPG of the year in 1996, Fallout in 1997, and Baldur's Gate in 1998? Just some little trivial knowledge everyone should know."

I snipped a quote by shadowman to the same effect ("Let me enlighten you, grasshopper...") and put it at the top of my guide. I didn't even ask for permission. Evil. I'm at SF now, so not much left to do except the Enclace. I'll have a bunch of questions for y'all soon.

Buy?

It's just... umm.. there... and it adds half a page to my guide, as well.
