Wierd Bug

When I came back to the BOS bunker after Kansas city, i found that i had 7 people in my squad (all my normal ones and Ed) I can't leave without taking him with me, but he doesn't show up on the list of people, but i can access his inventory, char stats, and he can get in the APC with everybody else... huh?
I have the patched version.
Anyone else have this problem???

I dont know what I'm talking about here but in Fallout 1 & 2 you sometimes would see a dead person i a Vault 13 jumpsuit. And you looked at person it would say something like "This is Ed. Ed's dead". So perhaps its not a bug but an Easter Egg you have found. But what do I know. Havent even played the first mission yet
