Will you lose your teammates if you ask them to wait

Kinja Kick

First time out of the vault
some where and leave town?

I've been playing Fallout 2 since it came out, and I've never really paid attention to what happens to a party member if you ditch them in a town, because I haven't really cared until now. I'm scared to lose Vic this time and I'm not completely sure why.

Anyway, I want to let him "retire" in new Reno, but I might need him.

Will he disintegrate the next time I come back?

I'm asking about Fallout: 2

I have V 1.02.

I did a manual install on windows XP (humongous installation I think, any way to check?)

P.S.
You've probly noticed but...

Typo in the posting rules thread:

1. Specify which game it is and which version. Fallout Tactics and F:POS topics do not belong on this forum.

Well, last I remember, when you leave someone in a town they stay there until you come back to pick them up. That's why Myron complains when you leave him in a place he doesn't like. I could be wrong, though, because it's not often I remove a party member that I'll need later. It's usually a one-way decision for me.

As for the typo, I'm almost completely certain it was intentional  figure it out!

Alright, I'm the same way but I'm kind of uncertain if I will need vic. I dont have magnetic personality so youuuu know.

Hahahaha. I mixed up Tactics and BOS so I didn't put that together because I actually liked tactics.

They'll stay exactly where you left them, until you come back and recruit them again. I don't know if it's possible to leave them on a random encounter map or not, but doing so is not recommended.

Leaving NPCs on a random encounter will cause them to be lost. Only in cities will the NPCs stay put.
