World map moving is slooooow

Hey, i need a hand here, i was playing Fallout 2 and decided to update to the newest patch. I installed the unofficial patch in your download archives, and installed the high res option, and remembered first to update normally from patch 1.00 - 1.02 or something like that..- updated the whole thing,, and the game is running perfectly except that when im in worldmap and im moving around it takes centuries for just moving from Arroyo to Klamath, its kinda laggy and considering the world map before i updated, is was just half a second moving between the very same cities. everything slowed down in worldmap also the days which (before the update) traveled fast as you traveled. Anyone help quick its really annoying

I think that that was more to add realism to the game, and personally, I prefer it this way, it makes it so you can actually decide were you want to go.
