Wrights + Dead - Sierra =/= Good

First time out of the vault
Okay. So here's the deal. At some point in time I pissed off like 90% of Reno, so when I went to talk to Salvatore, I had to kill all his Henchmen, then kill him, and his entire casino. Same goes for Bishop. I went to help out Mr. Wright and his Jet problem, when I went back to his place to look for the Jet, the guy starts freakin' out, telling his kids to watch out cause I'm gonna kill him. Etc etc.

I understand that in terms of going to Sierra I'm phucked. Well... If we go about this legit anyways...

Is there any way I could download a hack / mod that will put Sierra Army Base on my map? I'd really like to go there and whatnot and kill myself some robots.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Equip the ring, click your heels twice, and find the right forum.

I'm pretty sure I'm there already...

I'm not looking for somebody to tell me how to walk my little guy around New Reno or something and find some kind of in-game work around. I'm asking if anybody has / is making / can direct me to a mod / hack that will put Sierra on my map...

Sounds like a Mod / Hack forum-worthy post to me, but this is only my first (now second) post here. So, I could be wrong. Wouldn't suprise me.

Either way I can see why you're a moderator. In terms of helpfulness, on a scale from 1-10, you're off the charts. Thanks.

(edit: Post was moved)

It says on the description, in bold no less, "...but aren't involving game-help". This has to do with Fallout 2, in-game. As well as a hack. Which to me seems like 2 reasons not to put it in this forum.

(double-edit)

Also, just re-read the stickied rules, and look what I found:

"File requests (ie you've damaged you Fallout cd and need help)", while I may not be asking for a CD to be replaced, I am asking for a file, which is against the rules in this forum.

"Technical, Modding (or mod discussion outside of general Fallout universe discussion), or Gameplay help, there are other forums for those topics." I also asked for a mod. I think that now brings this to 4 reasons why you moving this thread here was wrong.

Anyone feel like helpin' me find reason number 5? (Don't really, just answer my question.)

Please be a little politer to the mods in the future - ie, don't say "you did this wrong", just say "I thought this was in the right place" and leave it at that. No need to potentially derail your topic with an argument or worse.

Anyway, do you have any previous saves? If you don't, there are some ways you can get around this problem - I'm pretty sure that if you can sneak over to Wright and initiate conversation you'll get sierra on your map if you already completed the jet quest. There are probably a few others I'm not aware of.

As far as a mod goes - unless it's incredibly simple you're probably out of luck, as I don't think anyone is going to be willing to put effort into something so specifc and of limited use.

Yeah, I was a little impolite I suppose. I just don't like havin' people (moderators or joe-shmoe) replying to simple questions with smart-alleck remarks.

You, Montez, I can say without sarcasm were very helpful. I do realize that (next to) nobody would create an entire mod soley for the purpose of putting another location on my map-list, but I was thinking maybe something could be done, like, download a .map file, or something to that extent.

You COULD try living with the situation. After all, Fallout, among other things, is about doing things and then bearing the consequences.

Just the same you COULD try being helpful, rather then making posts nobody is going to find of importance.

If you don't want to help -- don't reply. It's pretty simple, right? Right.

You're not going to get any help with that attitude, first off you post in the wrong forum. Next up you give a moderator an attitude, then you finalise it by whining about your situation.

One more like that and I'm booting you off this forum.

I have to admit that I was wrong about this being in the wrong forum, I meant to say something else and it slipped through my fingers. :?

Edit: Nevermind, it was in the wrong forum, just moved to the right one.

Shit happens in FO. Learn to live with it, or start over. It seems rude, but thats what FO is about.

And ontopic, no I doubt theres such a mod out there.

You can copy the original Sierra Army Depot "battlefield" map file over another map, e.g. the unused Den "residential" map (denres.map, you get to it by pushing 3 on Den town screen)

This will allow you to enter the depot, but you won't be able to get it on your world map.

And you'll have to fight the turrets again when you get in and out.
