Movie trailers. Can't stand them.

Sure, they can be avoided when you're in the comfort of your own home. If I have rented a movie, I always fast forward past the movie trailers. If a trailer appears amongst the regular commericals, I just change the channel. Movie trailers can't harm you in your home. It's when you go to the movies that they strike you.

When sitting in a movie threatre, you can't really do anything about them. You can cover your ears, but you will still hear every word as the volume is so damn loud. Movie trailers spoil movies more than Kilus posts regarding them does.

Am I the only one who never watch trailers, or read on the back of movies when contemplating which one to rent?

yeah, trailers always seem to show parts of the film that are important (like someone dies near the start, but the trailer shows them in a totally different scene in the movie OMG)

I'd like it if trailers were just the first 5 minutes of one scene, or a conversation so you could see the WRITING GENIUS behind the movie, instead of the best/funniest scenes so you know the jokes, action scenes before it even starts D:

edit: Who is that announcer guy anyway? He should do the weather like THIS SUMMER...GET READY....FOR A COLD FRONT omg /,,/

I've got mixed feelings on trailers. If I've never heard of a movie, I really love trailers. Heck, if it wasn't for trailers I never woulda seen gladiator and I loved that movie. But then when movies like LOTR have the previews, I try and cover my eyes/ears during em because I already KNOW I wanna see the movie, but I don't wanna see some of it RIGHT NOW. So yea LOL, I dont know if i agree or disagree about trailers.

Avoiding trailers at all cost has it's ups and downs. Ups: Whenever I catch a really good movie, it's not spoiled for me. There's nothing like an unspoiled, great movie. Downs: I tend to rent/watch a whole lot of crappy movies which I prolly wouldn't have bothered to see if I had actually seen trailers for them.

On the whole however, the upside makes the downside worth while.

You may be listening to the very famous voice of Jim Cummings. He's a very renowned voice-over man who does numerous voices for Disney movies, cartoons, and television announcements. He's the voice of Winnie the Pooh Bear, the Cat in Cat-Dog, and that throaty voice for Fox television. His voice is also in a few games.

You've all heard his voice at one point. You just never learned his name.

I think we did. That's why we always remember to blow Set into pieces. ;)

Love the way he did that role, though.

I like trailers. Always have, always will. It's usually my favorite part of going to the movies/renting new releases. I also love watching old trailers.

Weirdest thing that ever happened to me regarding trailers was when i actually prefered the "Eyes wide shut" trailer to the film...

For me they are actually good. They allow me to be late on projection for...15 minutes i think.Enough time to supply with pop-corns.

Trailers < Commercials in terms of cinema nuisance.

I REALLY hate commercials at the movie theater. I kind of look forward to the trailers, but the last thing I want after paying $9 is to see an Audi commercial in ear-bursting THX surround sound. I purposely show up late to movies now just to avoid them.
