Fallout 4 costs $110 dollars, Witcher 3 GOTY costs $49.99 GG Bethesda

Just thought I'd point this out. The full Fallout 4 "experience" (and I use the term "experience" when referring to Fallout 4 very loosely) costs $60 for the base game and $50 for the Season Pass.

Witcher 3 GOTY includes all expansions, has more than a dozen free DLC/quest/items, comes with collector's items like maps, compendiums, has the full soundtrack in multiple formats, etc. It costs $49.99 for the full experience. It is also completely DRM-free.

Both of these games were released in the same year.

You can't compare a company turned abomination and a rather new one who do want to please their fans.

I like cd projekt red as a company but witcher 3 did not catch me, still a very good game.

Bethesda is just straight out evil with season pass and paid mod fiasco.

I think it's easier to compare the full price, what you get and the season pass.

Fallout 4- you get the game which has two endings, usually one way to complete a quest and it has one big quest branch line. You also get a poster. £50

Witcher 3- You get the game with numerous maps which are massive, more than one way to complete a quest, branching story paths, a map, a soundtrack, numerous bits of free DLC, a fancy slip case. £50

Season pass
Fallout 4- you get two new maps, a crafting DLC and three workshop dlcs, one with a rushed story. Plus the DLC contradicts the base game. £50 (originally £25).

Witcher 3- Two major expansions which adds more to the character and story. One could be considered as a sequel to the game. £20.

Overall- Witcher 3 is £70 for all its content while Fallout 4 is £100.

Fallout 4 is also listed at full price (60 bucks) whereas Witcher 3 has lowered it's price (30 bucks).

You can buy 1 copy of Fallout 4 for $110 - a game that has a Season Pass rated lower on steam than Aliens: Colonial Marines, Duke Nukem Forever, and No Man's Sky and a base game that is only about 10% higher than Colonial Marines/Duke Nukem Forever.

Or you can buy 1 copy of Witcher 3 Game of the Year Edition that includes all expansions and bonus content, AND then have enough to buy a copy of Fallout 1, 2, 3 GOTY edition, and New Vegas.

"B-but bethesda didn't released GOTY Edition yet, cut them some slack!"

But seriously, they screw around too long and the last DLC released only yesterday (not mentioning Beta leaks for obvious reasons) while Blood and Wine for Twitcher 3 in May so making a GOTY Edition for F4 this soon is kinda dumb.

You don't need to think of that as an error, they planned everything. They knew they have time and effort to put only for 2 actual DLCs so the filler content kicked in.

What are the requirements for making a GOTY version anyway? Is it enough that one or two obscure gaming sites pick it as GOTY? Will F4's GOTY version have a quote from MrMattyPlays on the cover?

To have everything company accomplished with the game, all patches, DLCs, all post-release content, I think. Really IDK since gaming industry lacks any form of standarts (according to bethesda's flawed products). Usually have to wait some time to make money on the last piece of paid content. Since F4 and Nuka World released way later than Twitcher 3 and B&W, GOTY Edition for Fallout 4 won't be seen until 2017. GG Bethesda (c)
It doesn't mean GOTY as award at all.

Meanwhile, full Fallout 4 experience still costs 110$

"Salutations my Fallout lovers, it is me MrMattyPlays bringing you another Fallout video. Now we all know how it's 'cool' to hate on Fallout 4 and loving New Vegas is in right now, so me and my friend the Lone Vault Wanderer are going to be discussing: is New Vegas overrated?"

"Oh yeah that's right, and g'day to all the viewers watching. New Vegas is a piece of shit. Too many fetch quests and bad graphics. The world was boring, post apocalyptic settings are supposed to be filled with tons of dungeons and tons of loot to make videos on so I can put food on the table for my pet kangaroo."

"Oh yeah absolutely I agree 100% definitely. And you know what else Lone?"

"What is it Matty?"

"I want Bethesda's dick in my ass and yours in my mouth."

I just saved you from watching all of MrMatty's videos.

Sorry to derail a bit, but this is epic. Thank you.

If you paid full price, the Witcher 3 and all DLC came to $85, $5 cheaper than the cheapest point for fo4 + the season pass, and $25 cheaper than what fo4 + the season pass costs today. The goty edition of Witcher 3 is $50, and I'll eat my dirty hat if the "goty" edition of fo4 is anything less than $60 at launch.

Fallout 4 has always been, and will continue to be, more expensive than the better experience that you can get from the Witcher 3.

Honestly though, the price doesn't matter. If Fallout 4 was great then $110 wouldn't really be that awful, shit I paid $120 for a ps2 copy of sh2 and sh3 back in the day and I have no regrets. The ticket price for Suicide Squad and Hell or High Water is exactly the same, but one of them feels more expensive than the other.

Beth organizes better circlejerks, that's why.

Also keep in mind how Far Harbor is more expensive than Blood and Wine while it is absolutely destroyed by the latter. (To be fair the difference is $5, but still)

Then you have Hearts of Stone, $10 for more storytelling than the $60 F4.
