My take on F4

Tepegountiro

First time out of the vault
I have played all the fallouts and no surprise here, but this is the most disappointing one, even more than F3.

Cons

  • Most of the dialogs sound simplistic, uninspired, almost stupid; some of them sound really cheesy, goofy, I just can’t believe the difference in terms of writing between two different developer teams until I see it, unbelievable

  • I’m really disappointed with bethesda for killing the weapon and armor degradation

  • Same with not being able to kill any npc. This is low quality. Bad, bad decision

  • Most of the times, the dialog options are directed to one objective and it’s very clear to see it. There’s no choice in most of them. It doesn’t matter what option you choose

  • Quest bugs, I have had two of these where my character and an npc kept staring at each other saying nothing, or in the dialog I can’t choose the right option because it’s empty. And I play with the last patch, vanilla game, months after release

  • Interaction bugs, I try to hack a computer or get into an armor and it gets stuck in the walking animation and no key works

  • I get into a vault thinking that I’m finally going to get a good quest and all I receive is a fetch fertilizer quest, a go get my cat quest and explain some retarded kids my encounter with a deathclaw facepalm quest

  • I grabbed the game thinking it’d be an kind of an fps with more rpg elements, I thought they would have grabbed a page or two from Obsidian’s manual, but it turns out no, it’s an fps

  • Just boredom, why am I shooting all this punks if the majority of quests are crap?

Pros

  • I kept playing this game because I like exploring buildings and that’s what saves the game for me, if I didn’t, I can’t imagine what I would be writing about it

  • I like the feel of power armor in this game, I think it looks more like the one in F1 and 2, except for the nuclear fusion battery

  • Among the dirt, a few quests stand out for being kind of decent. The quest where Earl turns out dead in Diamond C, I can’t remember more right now but there are a few

  • Settlement building

  • Probably the best part of the game is the classical radio station, good selection

You missed the quest with Vault 81.

Thats a pretty fair reveiw and I would have to agree. I think DLC defintly left a sour taste in my mouth though as I paid for the seasson pass and it was quite a waste

I didn't play the DLCs, I watched some videos on youtube but wasn't impressed at all so I'm waiting for a sale or something bc I don't wanna spend like 30 bucks on it, maybe 10, 15 or so, not more

Far Harbor is better than the main game by far.

Nuka World is pure fun.

How are the quests in Far Harbor and Nuka World?

I mean I hate nuka world beacuse it forces you to be bad. And thats really annyouing. I mean far harbours got some decent quest its probabaly the only DLC worth buying. Overall the DLC is pretty decent however Nuka world is a avoid from me

I believe you're suffering from: this.

Honestly, after playing FO4 for some time i gotta say that i don't like how the power armor feel. It is too clunky for my taste. I juat end up feeling crippled when wearing it. That armor pieces can fly off, that it has a limited power supply and that Fucking HUD turns me off completely.
