Custom NPC appearance is reset after restarting the GECK?

To clarify, I'm using the GECK for FNV.

Anyway, basically it went like this: I created a new plugin, began creating a custom NPC, used an NPC I got from a mod as a template for its appearance (Heroes of the Apocalypse), and when I save and exit his appearance and inventory are reset. As far as I know, nothing else is erased. Any suggestions?
 
Are you making that mod Heroes of the Apocalypse a master of your own plugin?
NPCs are definitely not my area of expertise though.

Thanks, worked beautifully! Now, is this something I'll have to do every time I borrow content from another mod?

Yes. Unless you take that mod's assets and/or scripts, IDs, whatever else and insert them on your mod (which might take a long time and a lot of work).
Basically without the original mod, the game will have no way of knowing or accessing that mod assets. You would have to redo all of that in your own mod and use any external files (textures, models, sound, etc) and insert them into your mod too.
