Error loading saved game in F2 mapper.

I'm trying to load saved game in F2 BIS mapper but gets error: "error loading game unable to load game" I've set all required patches in mapper2.cfg as needed. I have sfall F2 fro steam.

Hahahaha...I know fuck all about this stuff, but the mapper doesn't like loading saved games, it often crashes the mapper and damages the map file (been there, done that).

Why do you need to open a saved game in the mapper? Are you trying to change the items on a map, on a critter? Just use a save game editor if that's the case. Generally edit a map before the game loads it into play...tinkering with a map during play can cause all sorts of issues.
