Dead Alive. About a decade ago I was on some hallucinogens and the scene where the zombies are all at the table eating grossed me out so bad I disassociated and had to turn it off. I have not watched it since.

It's weird because I have a partial gore fetish but there's also a line that becomes too much. I'm glad that's the case. I've in the past looked at that shit online. I've seen people shot IRL here in New Mexico and shit and it didn't affect me that much. It was mostly like, holy shit that happened. OK. So I've learned to kinda just be wary of that shit over the years.

Me running over something affected me more than that shit which is funny.

Oh yeah and the brainwashing too!

I almost had to turn off I Spit on Your Grave (remake) during the rape scene because it was so gratuitous. I guess it gets half a post

Eden Lake
I realized quite early on that it was basically going to be torture porn and so I skimmed through the rest of the film and it proved my point.

Martyrs
Realized this about an hour in or so when a certain event happen I was like "hang on, there's so much more left of the film, and now the heroine is in the bad guys' hands, and we've seen what they do to people" so I decided to skim through it as well and yup, torture porn.

I have never flat out turned off a film without skimming it though. But that means I've given up on the film and no longer cares about following it so I just skim to see if my theory is proven right and it always is.

Thinking about it, I've never done that. I've turned stuff off for being very boring or really stupid.

"Cuties" but not for the reason you would assume. It was because it was in French with subtitles.
I had to turn off "Wolf Creek" that shit was disgusting.
Eh, I dono where my head is when it comes to gore. Had to turn off "Hobo with a Shotgun" yet love all the old Toxic Avenger movies. Weird.

How about Braindead?

Braindead with Bill Paxton? I watched the trailer. Looks cheesy. Love me Bill though.

I can't even watch shit like this without my hands and feet going numb and nausea:

My girlfriend is a fan of gore filled splatterpunk garbage horror movies that she enjoys ironically. We have a rotating list of stuff I recommend that we watch and stuff she recommends, and there are countless movies I've watched at this point that if I were watching alone I would have switched off because I don't really get any value from horror generally, let alone gore-focused horror.
