Planning a Jet F2 run as an econ challenge (Ecco + FO2tweaks)

First time out of the vault
Greetings fellow gamers.

I have yet to attempt a Jet run in Fallout 2, and would like to discuss my ideas.

In addition to the advantages conferred by Jet, I'm hoping to use it to create an econ challenge. Basically, jet addiction is an effective way to ensure that healing costs you money (I plan on requiring Jet usage whenever withdrawal symptoms hit) which makes First Aid and Doctor useful skills. It also means that cash management will be much more important. I'm adding the Ecco mod to boost that aspect.

I plan on lowering combat difficulty level for random encounters, as those turn into insta-death way too favour. But at the same time I disallow myself from fleeing random encounters, as that strategy seems like too much of a no-brainer.

I will be using FO2tweaks to allow unlimited companions, while still requiring myself to observe the CHA limit. Basically that means I will "allow" CHA to go above 10 through use of Mentats and Marijuana and still only recruit NPCs if CHA is high enough.

Jet itself is obviously extremely potent, and will give me a lot of extra firepower for all planned encounters in particular:
+2 ST makes it even easier to start out at ST 2, at ST 4 I can use most guns just fine
+2 PE allows for great base accuracy
+4 AP is huge, with AG 9 and the syringe from EPA I will have 14 AP

I'm thinking about exporting my Jet addiction to my companions as well, as soon as I'm able to finance it. Only problem is that there'll be so much micro management hassle with having to use it constantly, but maybe the buffs are big enough that I'll suffer through it. I'm also sceptical that I'll even be able to locate enough Jet, even if I can afford it. Does anyone know how much Jet I can realistically get my hands on?

I'd love to hear about other succesful Jet runs.

I tried this once, and Jet addiction really fucks with NPC stats. I think their Jet addiction stacks or something, I remember Myron’s action points being reduced to 1 at some point. He needed two hits of jet just to fire a gun once in combat. Also keep in mind that giving Cassidy drugs will kill him due to his heart problems.

Edit: Also keep in mind that withdrawal symptoms from Jet are not cured by using Jet. The -1 action point modifier will stick with you, so at some point your max action points will be reduced to 13, not 14.

Excellent info, thanks.
I'll lay off NPC usage then, and the permanent Jet penalty actually makes things more interesting.
