That's awesome to hear! Really glad you're considering it :) Had a quick look at the companions scripts, I think PartyBKG_FoN is only there to set up the background the talking head uses - it's to make sure the background changes depending by location. A quick fix could maybe be commenting out...

I believe that's just the optimizer doing it's job, it removes unused code. You shouldn't have any issues with the compiled script. In the "Optimization" option you can change the settings to "None" if you wish to keep everything:

I believe you need to change the map Ian is in as well. What I mean is, with the mapper (on this site), open the Shady Sands map and edit/place the new Ian critter
