In fact, i wanted to replace the appearance for npcs, not my character. For my character i replaced with an overwiting version (by dropping the frames on the art/critters) with the appearance i like. The only trouble for that is that it appears that some frames for the characters appearances...

I was, of course, referring to the appearance id. It's unnerving that your character looks like any other random dude. So, since there *is* the nmmaxx appearance (used for raiders mostly) i wanted -at least- to replace to those who have instead hmmaxx.

Honestly i think the most useful edits would be critters appearance and their equipment... It doesn't seem to exist a tool that can do that so far.
