What are your go to first builds in an fantasy rpg?

First time out of the vault
This means in any RPG, what is your usual first build that you start with? Like do you start out as a warrior, mage, acher, or something in between?

I like a classic warrior or paladin. Anything tanky. If I re-play I'll go ranged or assassin. Finally, mage or sorcerer on the last playthru since they usually start so weak but become godlike towards the end.

Fallout IDK, every character seems fun to roleplay
 
Usually, thief/rogue type of characters because I hate locked things and traps. I usually also like to play unarmed builds if possible.

So, my first build in fantasy RPGs (or just RPGs in general) is a character that can unlock stuff, disarm traps and punch enemies.
 
Whatever is the edgiest.
Necromancer.
Summoner.
Witchhunter.
Blood Knight.

Whatever is the "dark" character archetype is what I usually go for first.

make me wonder why every witchhunter in any media should be stupidly edgy
i read a novel about one and he says in his monologue:"i love berger because of the taste of death"

High charisma and speech/high dex for first playthrough as it's fun to see what all you can get away with and generally makes the game easier. Also makes the game more tense when trying to hide/avoid fights (honestly, I just want to know what it's like to be smart and charismatic if only for a moment). If I do a second playthrough either a mage, or fighter character. If fighter, I do low intel/charisma to see what all options I missed. Most games I don't continue with this since it just makes the game harder and more limiting.

Fallout, on the other hand, makes it pretty funny. I've only ever completed low int/char playthroughs in Fallout games due to this.
