I am currently more worried about the Colombian elections this sunday. There was confirmed ELECTION FRAUD on the first round, but the Fiscal isn't gonna sa anything until after the Round 2 elections, surprise surprise, the Fiscal is a member of the political Party of the candidate that got more votes on the first round, not conspicuous at all.
I don't know wether "Nothing will change", this right wing candidate wants to undermine the recen peace threaty, and if that happens is not just gonna be a return to arms for the FARC but a return in Full force with even less chance for a future peace threaty.
Uribe, COlombia's ex-president has 250 investigations open on him and the evidence is piling up, so of course his puppet candidate also wants to get rid of the high courts and reduce the three powers of the government to just 2 with the president able to pardon crimes. We are heading towards a formal dicatorship held up by a fabricated conflict.
Uribe already rewrote the constitution to be able to be re-elected and the only thing that prevented him from running a third time were... The High courts, and now they want them gone, leaving the path open to Uribe.
The Right wing convinced their voters that it was the left who wanted to install a regime, while they worked towards putting theirs in place.

So business as usual imo. The faces and shit change but it will end up like all the rest. My advice is to cease caring altogether. In a world where you are powerless the only way to resist is to not care what they tell you to care about.
If Gustavo Petro wins the Elections that means breaking the 70 year long regime of the right and stopping the Uribe dictatorship at the most vital point.
