Lol what you don't need a crt Tv. You can just hook it up to an Lcd or plasma screen.

I think the reason why some old console/game owners sell their stuff is because they might need more storage space or money.
Not a bad thing tbh since they might be the only source of old consoles and big boxes left.
I do need a CRT tv. I plugged in into my tv and the image is too blurry. Gives me headaches and hurts my eyes. Remember, I can't even play old "pixelated" pc games these days.
Well back in the day for some because they felt that there was no point in holding on to the old games because there was now a new generation (why play the old when there are new games?)
Others sold their old machines and games in order to make money to buy one of the new machines as saving for one could take a long time.
Most adults have to pay all of their own bills and tax, grapes.
And sometimes they will have to pay for others just like the one you live with have to pay for yours.

My argument is why keep every game you bought when you will likely not play them again? You keep the ones you do plan on replaying.
"Most adults" "early twenties" ... you paying attention bud? And I keep everything I buy for the almighty collection. Some might call it hoarding but its not hoarding if I have enough shelves >_>
also its worth noting that I do pay taxes and half the bills <_<
I never said that. If you're running out of room or need some cash it makes sense. But ive seen people talk about the friggen ps2 as though it were an atari. Gamer culture is too quick to throw stuff away just because its old is all Im saying.

Gamer culture is retarded. It is younger kids, mostly your age, that are shelving their old PS2's, like I no longer play NES games. Collecting is a form of hoarding.
Yeah collecting is basically hoarding but with a theme but its my one and only hobby so fuck it. I do plan to start a NES collection too. Hell a NES is only $60 and they got a copy of super Mario for like $8 at smr

It's fine and all but I find as I get older that I have invested in hobbies to the point where I have nothing to show for it but a bunch of useless bullshit that doesn't make my life more comfortable.
