Wouldn't mind it if the translation wasn't so ugly. SIZZLE the fire spell is translated as "Miniataque igneo" or "Small fire spell" takes the charm out of it.

sizzle isn't all that commanding of a word itself.

It's because it ignores the Steam settings and instead uses the OS language.

Go to “C:\Users\”user”\Documents\My Games\DRAGON QUEST XI\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\

Open the “engine.ini” file.

Add the following line:
[Internationalization] Culture=en

Which language is your Steam using? Half Life 2 for some reason uses the language in Steam, meaning it was portuguese for me because that's the language i was using. I had to change the language in Steam to english to get the english VA and everything else. Maybe the same happens with DQ 11.

Ayelander, it's not about sounding commanding or badass, it's about it not being literally "Small fire spell", that just generic and lame.

But isn't that just what sizzle is? Small fire spell is much more professional. None of that razzle dazzle you get with calling it sizzle,

Unless I am playing as the most autistic, milqetoast, white cracker with no cheese character ever I would never want for my attacks in a JRPG to just be "Small fire spell", Dragon Quest is all about whimsy, a fire spell being an Onomatopeia is whimsical, it being called "small fire spell" is retarded.

I like small fire spell.

But ember is also acceptable.

"Mini" Fire attack does mean you'll eventually get Mega and Giga Fire attack though, it pays off. And they did a good job at translating/porting the puns and whatnot, right?
