I kinda liked the bagpipe music, as misplaced as it was. Afaik, it only plays in/around Diamond City and establishes a bit of a civilized feel that Beth's FO-interpretations have been sorely missing. It's easy to forget, FO1 and 2 are also about civilisation reestablishing. If anything, FO4 clings too hard to the "everything is still nuked"-trope
Which is part of Fallout-franchises big problems - AS a franchise: in FO1 the theme is *allready* reestablishment of civilized society, little by little. By FO2 there are green lawns, forests, not only budding city states but fully fledged expansive republics. The savage no mans lands are shrinking as borders push outwards
