hurr durr dats for babies. but actually it tackles a lot of fucked up shit. slaver, racism, patricide, lynching, genocide, governmental corruption and the list goes on. there was a scene where someone didn't got to big mom's tea party and as a result she had his father head sent to him in a box.but naw hur dur for babies.

If you are 10 then One Piece is probably really deep.

10 - 20 are the ages where shock value is easily mistaken by depth.

i never claimed it was deep. and none of that is written for shock value. from a storytelling point of view thats meant to illustrate big mom's reach and power. but while story itself may not be deep it worldbuilding certainly is. why are you shittalking a series that you only watched 20 episodes of?

By episode 20 most series that are worth a damn are already worth a damn.

key word being most. early one piece is fine and all but it doesn't start being truly great until the arlong park arc. which is fairly early in the manga. gotta remember that toei has the rights to one piece which means the story now progresses at a rate that is so slow it hurts.

I watched up to the part where they get to the Mutant reindeer and I was only watching it to give it a fair chance. It never got any good, the comedy was cringy even by shonen jump standards and the filler was atrocious.
