As a kid, I got a World Wildlife Fund-series plush king penguin, and I took it with me everywhere. Ever since, I've been on the king penguin's side. The black, gray and white coloration is more exotic than the white-black of the emperor -
and where the emperor penguins yellow cheek-color kind of fades down into the black, the king penguin has a sharp contrasted, upwards turning, drop faced, deep orange mark, that I find a lot more interesting
