From the first cave fire to the latest atomic powerplants, humans have huddled and labored around technology to further project their will or ease their worries. At times we are burned by it instead. Sometimes the burn is a harbinger of the consequences for carelessness or lack of restraint, coaxing us away from further consequence, other times it is the sun that melts our society's wings.
