No Mutants Allowed

So on my Steam Dashboard I got news for Civ celebrating Black History Month which AFAIK is in February, not March, but whatever. I think that the concept of "[Insert race here] history month" is dumb so I went to downvote it cause I'm edgy like that.

However, I noticed it has 275 posts in DIscussion but 0 thumbs up, so I changed my thumbs down a thumbs up to test it and it did not show an increase, the button for thumbs up is highlighted but it did not go up 1 point.

As far as I'm aware, Steam doesn't have a ratio system where you will see the negative if it exceeds the positive. It's like Youtube where only the positive will show up. So... Why isn't it showing up? I find it hard to believe that no one thumbed it up.

As to why I dislike black history month; I aim for everyone to be treated the same and putting any group up on a pedestal is antithetical to that. I also find it perverse to be so fixated on something that shouldn't matter.

Also, you're a game company. Could you fuck off with virtue signaling and focus on the actual game? Patting yourselves on the back for being good people isn't going to fix the game.

I literally talked about why LIKES don't show as anything but 0 even after clicking thumbs up. That's what I find strange.

Innocuous to you maybe. And if 2016 called then you could say that to Civ's community manager or whoever who decided to virtue signal too.

Also you commented on why I'm complaining about why dislikes are disabled, then when I clarified that that is wrong and that my post is about something else I found strange you then bring up the black history month part which is a separate point. You were wrong, don't be a poopyhead about it.

Do you also make this much of a fuzz about a Christmas event? lmao
