No Mutants Allowed

It bothered the fuck out of me for three straight days - it ignored open windows, it's a house-fly, it doesn't care about outside, it wants to eat shit or sweat or something, it flew into my ears, landed in my hair, drove me crazy

At one point, I sprayed lighter fluid straight at it, and I thought I had it - I was full of glee; hours later, its buzzing around like nothing. My gf give it a shot, it follows her to the bedroom, then comes back into the livingroom - three days!

Then, I catch it unawares - eating leftover food I JUST ate, on my plate - I'm just filled with this sense of vengeance, but this time - it doesn't even notice me. It is SUPER FAST any other time, but it's eating. I squash it - immediately regret it. Poor thing just found food.

I could have brought the plate outside, shooshed it off. It even stopped eating, for the moment before squash - that is the slowest I've ever seen it. I can't stop thinking about it. It stopped eating, and sat there, before I squashed it.

Now it feels empty. I'm wondering why nothing is bothering my neck.
