No Mutants Allowed

Animal lovers, they're the fucking worst. I love animals too, but I am primarily an "animal enthusiast", I KNOW about animals. Freakshows like PETA and such - they are notoriously ignorant about the very animals they love to love. Always going for "cuteness" and such, it irks me to no end

Worst are those who make their carnivorous pets eat lettuce, cus they don't want their pets to partake in "meat industry". I can't let myself get started on that whole thing... the best way to approach animals - is also the most demanding and complex: LEARN about them. Humans are animals, and every single species of animal is unique in terms of behavior and communication.

And yes, you should punch some animals. Not dogs or cats, not because of ethics, but because punching doesn't communicate anything to them, it only frightens them. But bears DO punch. Tigers punch. Training a bear or a tiger requires some punching. Cue in PETA "that's abuse!!!" no, it isn't. A flimsy human hand could never deliver enough force to hurt a bear, our punch is like a tap on their shoulder

Yeah I agree. Not going to force my dogs to eat vegetables when they're incapable of making that choice themselves. Plus they hate veg.

And as for the whole "punching" thing, you think that's bad? PETA's animal 'shelters' are glorified pounds that kill the animals that can't find new owners.

Yeah I know. There's so much fact versus preconception though, for example, I told a big animal lover that predatory stomachs are less capable of evolutionary change than herbivorous stomachs. A herbivore stomach, like a cow, is an energy extraction monster - 4 stomachs, made to draw energy out of GRASS. Therefore, starving or malnutritioned cows can sometimes eat carrion

Evolutionary speaking, herbivorous animals have often formed carnivorous branches, because of this. Carnivores are opposite, they have very small bellies, made for extracting energy from extremely energy-rich and fatty meat and blubber. Oily food that litterally burns if you set fire to it. Carnivores have a great difficult time drawing energy from vegetables, because of this, and if starving will simply go extinct

Anyway, this animal-lover looked at me, and simply said "No! I don't agree with that!" not agreeing with anatomical limitations and fossil record evidence "No!"

Well I guess it's good that I have a decent stomach

Anyway you shouldn't feel bad calling yourself an 'animal lover'. You can love animals even if you love how they taste even more.
