Iron Man and Spiderman are like orange and purple, church and state and ice cream and steak. They're all at least decent on their own, but when mixed... Bleurgh...
Most of the really bad Marvel movies come from outside the MCU (looking at _you,_ Fant4stic.) That's not saying the MCU is entirely faithful, but as somebody who isn't a massive comic book fan, I'm not exactly the best person to be arguing that.
The MCU is flavorless mush. They are working towards simplifying the brand as much as they can which is why the franchises that the MCU doesn't control are also getting the shaft in the comics. It's Disney afterall.
So, no one cares that they made an average and predictable super hero movie but totally destroyed the personality of one of the oldest and most beloved super hero character ever?
If they were going to change Spiderman this much, they should have just made a different character or something.
