No Mutants Allowed

Horde Battles, DexNav, Soaring, Super Training, Friend Safari and other stuff i liked from Gen 6 just gone and replaced with either nothing or just crap. Triple and Rotation Battles just removed for no apparent reason from the Battle Tower.

SOS battles are right up there as one of the worst battle types in the series to me, only surpassed in awfulness by Sky Battles.

Super Training was garbage. SOS battles are the best way of EV training know and even then Poke Pelago allows you to EV training multiple Pokemon while you sleep. Dex Nav was cool, but SOS Battles also let's you get HA Pokemon and increases Shiny chances, Fiend Safari is Missed I'll give you that.

Did anyone even play Triple Battles or Rotation? I don't think that ever was a mode they even supported often, hell the gen they were added on didn't even do anything with them and they were just kind of slow and cluster fucky.

I think the problem with Sky battles is that they were a whole bunch of nothing. They could've gona farther with it, like having unique weather and field effects but it was nothing more than a glorified Ban list used by certain NPCs.

Super Training allowed me very easily to do specific EV spreads, plus it had the white bag to reset all EVs. Plus it would take me 10 minutes to fully EV train.
Walpknut

10 minutes Super training to full? That's just not true.

SOS battles on the other hand are annoying, tedious and completely luck based. It took me 30 minutes with power items and that adrenaline orb and i had to run away a few times because the pokemon would call pokemon that gave EV yields i didn't want.
Norzan

Yes, 10 minutes, at worst 15 minutes. i always saved those bags that gave double EVs and i had a load of those bags that gave a lot EVs.

I'm sorry but SOS battles are not a viable replacement for EV training. Not to mention Horde Battles where i would EV train in 5 minutes flat.

It actually just takes 7 encounters to fully EV train 6 pokemon.
Norzan
Norzan
7 minutes, when the pokemon wants to call another pokemon. I had several times, even with the orb, for several turns they would not call another pokemon.

And if i want to do a specific spread? I now have to take notes and pay extreme attention to the number of pokemon i defeat.
Walpknut

Super training a pokemon to full evs with double bags takes at least 45 minutes. This 15 minutes time you say is literally impossible. Not to mention you have to engage i na boring Baloon popping mini game and you can only do it one pokemon at a time.
Walpknut
Walpknut
Extreme attention? You never heard of the Stat decreasing berries, Vitamins and the Festival Plaza stores? There are so many new tools to get the most micromanaged ev spread in SM.
Norzan
Norzan
45 minutes? What? Did we play the same game? 20 minutes at the possible worst for full. It takes me 20 seconds per game with each giving minimum 24 evs and a lot of them 48. How is that 45 minutes?

And even then, there was no excuse to remove it in the first place.

There is also Pokepelago where you can pick the number of sessions for each stat and just leave it running on the background while you sleep.

30 minutes best time. You are making it up by saying that it takes 10 or 15 minutes. Then there is the fact that the boring minigame can be eve nfailed at which means it's less efficient than just killing 7 pokemon with Power items on and getting a full team in 7 to 10 minutes.
Norzan
Norzan
Berries that could be planted in Gen 6 and there was also the white bag that fully removed all EVs. And yes, extreme attention. It's far easier to fuck up specific EV spreads with SOS battles than with Super Training. In Super Training all i had to do was count, in SOS i have to pay attention to every pokemon i faint and not miscalculate.
Walpknut
Walpknut
If you fuck up the ev spread you just give it a berry and correct it. Takes about 3 seconds. Super training is the most inneficient way possible to ev train when you have the option of Hordes or SOS. I actually ran out of PC space because I just have EV trained that many mons.
Norzan
Norzan
And i'll keep saying it takes me 15 minutes to EV train and that's what happened. And even then there was Horde Battles, which allowed me to EV train a full team in less than 5 minutes.

So, what was the point of SOS if Horde Battles were already better? I'm sorry, but SOS battles suck hard and it's not a replacement for either Super Training and Horde Battles.
Walpknut
Walpknut
And I'll keep saying that's impossible.
SOS are even faster than hordes because you don't have to reload a new battle for each ev session, and they also increase chance to get Shiny Pokemon and even helps you find HA pokemon easily. You just don't wanna take advantage of them because.
