I'd say it'd clash a bit with the tone considering most of the cast are teenagers and this isn't Eva .

That's my issue, the tone is too tame and clean, they put way too much emphasis of ensuring us nothing too bad will happen to them.

Also what does the cast being teens have to do with it? Most anime is focused on teen characters and they still die and shit.

I would say it's because the villains are also just starting to get the hang of how they do things, but yeah. For people who want dirtier experience, MHA is way too tame.

Or is it? Maybe the author is saving things up before shit hits the fan and then it's Berserk's Eclipse all over again.... can't imagine that happening in anything like MHA, tho.

Well, the way it's done seems like the profesional heroes are the ones that are really on the line and the students are only seeing snippets of that at least for now. IE the hero killer, All Might's whole deal, the UA attack. Then again the more campy side of superhero stories isn't exactly characterized for death and drabness. It's kind of like asking to Pokemon why they aren't used as weapons, haha.

Pokemon Special and the games hae the Pokemon used as weapons, I don't watch the anime series tho. See you are explaining to me something I already know, I am not wondering why there are no deaths, I am stating that I find the whole set up and tone to be too tame for me to feel invested.
