    High Resolution Patch Running Slow

Sorry, thought you were talking about fallout2. The fallout1 version of sfall was abandoned a while back, and the Dx9 modes don't work with the hi-res patch. If you want to use both mods you will have to manually edit the "ddraw.ini" file it should be in your fallout install directory. Find...

    High Resolution Patch Running Slow

Alright I'm a little confused, are we talking about fallout1 or fallout2?

    High Resolution Patch Running Slow

Put the ddraw.dll back, that's sfall you'll need it. You cant use 16 bit mode when you have one of sfalls dx9 modes enabled. The dx9 modes can be disabled in the sfall tab on the screen settings window. You may first want to try turning on GPU blitting in the sfall tab as this can provide a...

Fallout 2 mod FO2 Engine Tweaks (Sfall)

I think I may have fixed the crashing problem with the PC Appearance Mod. After having no problems for hours I started getting crashes when changing appearance in the char screen. I eventually narrowed it down to some uninitialised elements in my custom art path structures. I'm pretty sure I've...

Fallout 2 mod FO2 Engine Tweaks (Sfall)

The latest sfall + Hero App Mod is working fine for me, so I'm not sure what's going on there :? . If anyone has a similar problem be sure to chime in.

Hi-Res Patches for Fallout1&2 & the BIS Mapper

The 16bit colour option is mainly there for the non US versions of fallout2 which can't use sfall. It's only real purpose is to fix the psychedelic colours problem which sfalls DX modes also fix. To avoid conflicting with one another, the hi-res patch will revert back to 8 bit colours if one of...

Hi-Res Patches for Fallout1&2 & the BIS Mapper

It's already on my list, I haven't had the chance to take a serious look at it yet but it will probably be a tough one.

Hi-Res Patches for Fallout1&2 & the BIS Mapper

It should be OK. I compared the Mega Mod exe with the original, the differences are the sharpshooter fix, city limits patch, debug mode and world map speed fixes all of which can be handled by sfall. You may want to fiddle with the world map speed stuff though as I noticed the "WorldMapFPSPatch"...

Hi-Res Patches for Fallout1&2 & the BIS Mapper

It seems the Mega Mod still includes a modified version of the fallout2.exe. Replacing the exe with an unmodified one should fix the problem. Sfall includes all the necessary fixes so this modified exe is redundant. You can get an unmodified exe from the Fallout 2 Official US Patch v1.02...

Hi-Res Patches for Fallout1&2 & the BIS Mapper

Sorry not sure what would be causing that. From your screen shot I assume your running Vista or Win7. For pre Vista games it's best to install somewhere other than "Program Files" eg "C:\Games". It may not be causing your current issue but installing somewhere else will avoid a host of other...

Hi-Res Patches for Fallout1&2 & the BIS Mapper

You need to update your version of fallout2. There is an official patch but I'd recommend Killap's Unofficial Fallout2 Patch.

Hi-Res Patches for Fallout1&2 & the BIS Mapper

It all depends on the dpi and how good your eye sight is. I play at 1680x1050 on my 22" lcd with no eye strain.

Fallout Resolution Patch - Doesn't stretch properly

The Dx9 modes in Sfall for fallout1 aren't compatible with the hi-res patch. To use the two together you should set Mode to 0 in the ddraw.ini.

Hi-Res Patches for Fallout1&2 & the BIS Mapper

A new version of the hi-res patch is available 2.2c. A minor update for the most part more details can be found in the first post. Links in my sig. I've included updated map edge data for the RP2.0 that I've tweaked for resolutions from 640x480 up to 1920x1200. I've also included map edge...

Hi-Res Patches for Fallout1&2 & the BIS Mapper

I was wrong about the hi-res patch being pre-installed. If you used the RP installer you have to select the hi-res patch in the extras section for it to be installed. It turns out the hi-res patch is required to get certain maps (EPA) to function properly. To check if the hi-res patch is...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Don't worry any future version of the hi-res patch will be compatible to with the current RP release at that time.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

The RP contains the map edge data so that won't work I'm afraid. Thats true for most problems but the main EPA map extends past the visible range of un-patched fallout2, moving or removing the blockers wouldn't help in that case.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

You should still be able to leave the resolution at 640x480 but the hi-res patch needs to be installed to get the EPA maps working properly.

Hi-Res Patches for Fallout1&2 & the BIS Mapper

What resolution are you using iznogoud? Edit: I believe the problem is that you don't have the hi-res patch installed. It comes pre-installed with the RP so I'm not sure what the problem is there. Have you installed any other mods that replace the fallout2.exe? The EPA maps are very...
