Creation Kit and Bethesda.net mods are out

I'll be interested to see how much more of a walking simulator TES6 ends up being, based on what they did with Fallout 4. Skyrim was already pretty shallow, I fully expect the next one to strip out even more.

    Is Dead Money Unfair?

These days I run my own mod in NV and it disables the radios. I've played it more than enough times to have had the original experience, now I just love to bask in the atmosphere and enjoy wandering around at my leisure without worrying about the speakers :)

Young indie dev get's bullied with cease & desist by iNXile for using word "Wasteland" in $1.99 Stea

Unfortunately it's a reality of current trademark law that if you don't aggressively protect your property you're likely to lose it. Yes, it sucks, and yes, it's probably a bit heavy handed, but InXile have way too much to lose compared to a one-guy (or super small team) indie dev and can't...

    Is Dead Money Unfair?

It's kind of meant to be difficult, that's the point. By the time you do that DLC chances are you'll be a walking tank. Removing your equipment till the end forces you to rethink how you play the game; it resets to zero, so to speak. The point of that is to make the player fear for their safety...

    A community effort

Dunno if you're even interested, and I can't honestly spare the time on a personal level as I'm too busy writing my own works, but you're welcome to use the ideas on my site if you want something as a basis to kickstart other things.

Playing New Vegas after fallout 2

Do remember that Obsidian were only given a measly 18 months tops to make this game. If given 4-5 years like a Beth title would've got, this would've been even better than what we got. And what we got was amazing already (NV is my fave game of all time incidentally... so it pains me to think how...

Who's up for camping at a weekend festival ...

"Bethesda fans will be fed to the Cazadores. You have been warned."

Who's up for camping at a weekend festival ...

Clearly NMA needs to plan a Fallout-related festi... oh, right, it'd be invaded by Bethesda fans. Never mind :(

I Need to Vent about FO4 a Bit...

It's serviceable, and way better than the crap in 3 (lol no iron sights). Otherwise it's fine, the world and roleplaying are where it shines in any case.

I Need to Vent about FO4 a Bit...

... not a thread for moaning about NV, you spend half of the post moaning about NV. Um... Also, hardly any side quests? REALLY? I have to assume you just didn't find them, or you don't count unmarked quests as legit in some way? NV has more to do and more interesting characters and things to...

Whats up with the fallout 4 hate

He's probably just being diplomatic. Can't really come out and say 'Bethesda can suck a dick, they ruined Fallout', wouldn't exactly reflect well on him.

    Why Fo4 fucked Fallout lore

Yep. Meanwhile, in my own version of Fallout 3, the raiders are an actual faction with quests and the ability to drastically affect the rest of the wasteland with some help from the player.

Whats up with the fallout 4 hate

Haha, yeah, the preface basically reads as 'please don't kill me', hoping to avert catastrophe for daring to criticise the Holy Bethesda.

    Why Fo4 fucked Fallout lore

Probably written by an intern wondering why the hell they ever bothered going to Bethesda in the first place.

Whats up with the fallout 4 hate

It's a striking similarity to the SJW mindset actually. As long as you tow the line you'll probably be ok. Maybe. But say one thing wrong, go against THE RIGHT WAY, or even look like you might stray from the preordained path, and you'll be eviscerated immediately and without mercy. It's highly...

What are your favorite types of game runs?

Low int high strength brute type who only uses melee? You'll get the fun low int speech options like that, they're always worth a playthrough :)

Creation Kit and Bethesda.net mods are out

Ugh, that sounds goddamn awful, especially having to create a mesh for that building area line. Not that I expected much else, Beth's way too lazy to implement something like that in-engine. And no scripts? Wow. Just... yeah, wow. Great job, Beth.

    Why Fo4 fucked Fallout lore

Assuming Fallout 3 doesn't sap my will to live, probably yeah :)

    Why Fo4 fucked Fallout lore

Good thing I copied the text into a notepad file earlier. Useful stuff for my own retrospective series heh.

So what lore has Bethesda done gone fucked up?

I get the same basic deal with writing. People think it's as simple as bashing keys on a keyboard. Yeahno.
