Mr. House vs. The Institute - who wins? spoilers

But if we look in the case of House in NV, he has zero chance of winning without you, due to not having anyone to take back the chip, or activate the securitrons. And in Fallout 4, the Railroad doesn't manage to do anything, unless you actually help them. Same with The Mintuemen, who don't just...

Mr. House vs. The Institute - who wins? spoilers

Uhh no. I said Virgil escaped, and Virgil is the one who trashed the FEV labs. You mean like how you stopped that sentence in the middle? I've also never had synths stop attacking me for any reason. Even after blowing off their legs those guys are still firing. -The money argument flies in the...

Mr. House vs. The Institute - who wins? spoilers

Its always a gamble with these argument because we never get the chance to see how the factions fare on their own, because every faction wins in these games because the super special snowflake, Mary Sue, player characters help them win. Really, the argument comes down too, which PC can beat...

Mr. House vs. The Institute - who wins? spoilers

I was assuming this was a "what if" scenario, where we just basically put both factions in a field, with the resources they are shown to have in-game, and then let them duke it out. I don't think the teleporter would actually reach from Boston to Vegas. Once again, you manage to confuse me by...

Mr. House vs. The Institute - who wins? spoilers

So really the argument comes down to "I think he would win because Obsidian wrote him, and not because of any actual sort of advantage of tactics, resources, manpower, technology, etc. etc.!" Also >House >well written >100% cliche Howard Hughes stereotype that every movie/book/tv show having a...

Mr. House vs. The Institute - who wins? spoilers

You mean they could have become insane, egomaniacal, manics, who care nothing for anyone beyond the small group of people they can get to play pre-war Vegas stereotype dollhouse, even to the extent of forcing most of the people to live in slums, even though he could have easily helped them...

    Why are battles so small?

No There's your problem, your video card is out of date.

Mr. House vs. The Institute - who wins? spoilers

Correct. They were introduced in Fallout 3 via the "Replicated Man" side quest, and briefly mentioned in New Vegas in House's Obituary, which said he attended the school before the war. But there was no mention of them in Fallout 1, 2, or Tactics. *edit* If House, as he was in NV, were to go...

    Why are battles so small?

I gotten into battles with 20-30+ people in Fo4, and it just ran at a solid 60 FPS. Get a better PC maybe?

What will DC look like in ten years?

They only seem to attack people who enter their areas, and the ones inside the glowing sea are pretty peaceful. Nothing indicates they go on raids of others. I've never had the CoA attack a settlement or anyhting.

    Why are battles so small?

According to some interview they gave years ago, the reason they don't make massive battles is because its not exactly fun, and just turns into a chaotic slog. also, saying Fallout 4 uses the same engine as Morrowind is like saying Bioshock Infinite uses the same engine as Unreal(1998) becuase...

What will DC look like in ten years?

Why exactly would the cultists impede tech and water trading? Its not like they are raiding caravans of water or w/e.

    Ideas for Obsidian spin off?

Would like to see the same area myself, but setting it in Seattle would be better IMO. Gives more locations for DLC. You can go north to Vancouver, and south into Portland, since Seattle is in the middle.

What will DC look like in ten years?

you can always call him out when he lies, and when he says that line, its in response to fighting Children of Atom. He makes the comment that the Capital Wasteland exports clean water, some good tech, and crazy cultists. Hes seemingly being very honest.

Is It Important That Fallout 4's World Lacks Credibility? - RPS article

I find it no more odd that there is trash everywhere then it was that people living in buildings in Fallout 1/2 didn't seem fit to fix the absolutely massive holes in their roofs despite living there for decades+

    Wasted Potential

Sorry I didn't know you were talking about something you didn't bring up in the post you responded to me with. And if a bunch of tanker vagrants, and a tribal, could fix up a massive super tanker, and get it working, why the hell couldn't smarter people? It doesn't exactly take a long time to...

    Wasted Potential

I don't. Its just a hallow claim. The idea that selectively using realism, in a game that selectively uses realism, and saying that's flip flopping, makes no sense. The game isn't all real, nor is it all unreal, and your attempts to keep trying to reduce it to an all or nothing fallacy do...

    Wasted Potential

Not true at all. I would like some semi-intelligent super mutants, so long as they made sense. I personally would love to see the west coast super mutants be used for something new for once. I also love the >LEL NO RESPECT FOR THE LORE! Meme. When everyone from Tim Cain, Chris Avellone, Josh...

    Wasted Potential

Funny, everywhere else people would call a series that constantly finds new ways to use old material a series that cares about its lore, continuity, and the things that makes it special. Even Star Wars novels find ways to constantly integrate the ideas of the empire, and the Sith/Jedi conflict...
