    It is! For most items anyway. Some, such as first aid kit, are probably hardcoded to pass time and to give out a massage, regardless of "script_overides" in the critter's script.

    Investigating critter under the mouse pointer.

    The pointer is "self_obj". This is always the object related to the script. Once you "look at" a critter, its look_at_p_proc procedure in its script will turn on. Hence - self_obj.
