The Fall developer diary on RPG Vault, part 2

If JA2 had elves, swords, and fireballs, it would have been called a dungeon crawler. Since it's a modern day/sci-fi setting, it's called a tactical squad game. Go figure on that one. I call it a dungeon crawler personally.

    Bitterman speaks

That Fallout Tactics part shows Bitterman is a complete nimrod. Fallout Tactics was highly embraced by the vast majority of Fallout fans up until they released the game. It kind of funny they described the game as being Jagged Alliance 2 in the Fallout setting when it wasn't half the game JA2...

    More rumours

I know at least part of that is true or at least that's the talk that's going around - not something just pulled out of his hat. There is supposed to be a meeting tomorrow about who will get paid and who will get laid off. As for whether or not Interplay will continue developing, we'll have to...

More rumours on shady dealings by Caen

So that's what the E means. I assumed it was Entertainment as well, something suggested by SGC or some such. It is rather interesting that they're filing their public information late, though, considering the stuff that's come out about them lately like the eviction thing GameSpot posted...

    Fbos Press Video part 2

Shit. Pure. Shit. I can't imagine anyone at Interplay thinking that this is even remotely appropriate for the 1950s pulp sci-fi setting of Fallout. I also can't imagine them thinking this was actually funny. The whole thing seemed like a poorly done video that could be made by the people of...

I still want to know who the hell would drink something called BAWLS in the first place.

    Don't BOO!!! me... I can't help it...

I think you're giving ShadowPaladin way, way, way too much credit, Longinus. What you're saying implies the boy is somewhat rational, capable of reason. I think he's more like a protozoan that can type. Stimulus in, response out. Nothing in between to govern the response at all.

    Thesis on FEV

This is why I don't care much for the Fallout Bible right here. Radiation making large monster critters has been part of 1950s sci-fi since the beginning. You can see it in everything from Them! to Godzilla. Just because it doesn't make sense in the real world that radiation would do this...

    Fallout Superbomber

I think the important word in what Maxson says is "A-bombs". You have to realise that Fallout's 2077 is in a lot of ways less advanced than our 2004. CRTs are on their way out with LCD screens becoming more and more popular. They were popular even when Fallout was in production, used on...

    Fallout Superbomber

That's what ended the Cold War, building all those damned nukes we didn't need. The USSR was doing the same thing. We just had more money to burn.

What was the point again? If it was turn based rocks, then I already said that.

    Grudge Match at Gamespy

Truck driving takes a bit of skill, I'm not too sure Herve can muster that.

Simple, because we had way more than we needed to do the job. You have to aim them somewhere.

Actually, MadMax, Odin, and I all got the press release around the same time. Here's my post on RPGCodex about it: http://www.rpgcodex.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=2333

    The Fall Preview

I've said the same things to Odin I've said in IRC. Yeah, I think he's a bit too wishy-washy at times. No BEEG SEKRET there. I don't recall ever asking Odin if he'd like to do stuff at RPG Codex. We've agreed to do some joint ventures, but I've never said, Hey Odin! Come do stuff at RPG...

    SSE hires another ex-BISer

I think my reply to you on the subject was, I really don't care. It's up to Exitium. Even said that a couple of times to you. I certainly hope that isn't your definition of being wanted.

    Fallout Superbomber

Depends on how far up these bombers travel, doesn't it? Jets are very limited in how high up their can fly unless they're specially designed for it like the SR-71. Now, if they were using fusion props for the bombers and jets for intercepting, then there's the problem of altitude for the jets...

    Thesis on FEV

MCA was a little too FEV EXPLAINS IT ALL when some things should be attributed to high levels of radiation causing mutation. After all, they're called radscorpions, not FEVscorpions. But seriously, the problem with FEV explaining everything is that it makes the area around Fallout and...
